Properties

We call these 'Heron Homes Humbleton' - The Trust owns 6 lovely homes in the village that we let at affordable rents to local people.  They were finished in 2023 and they include three 2-bed houses that were converted from the old village school, one 4-bed house that was the school master's house and two new 3-bed houses; all of these were built with the help of our local Council and the Natwest funded charity SCC.  Any profit that we make from renting these properties is used to help local children through our Bursaries & Grants (please see that section for more details)

 

Our properties, their purpose and our Community-led approach to building them recently (June 2026) featured on a episode of BBC's Escape to the Country (Series 27 Episode 10).  Search for it online to see Humbleton and Heron in the national media!

 

If any of our properties become vacant we advertise for new occupants on all of the usual sites (eg Rightmove, Zoopla etc).  You must have a connection to the village to be a tenant - all the details will be included in the advertisements.
